In plain words
The age and education requirements for these twelve paths are all written in official documents. To work for pay you must be at least 16. To join the military, a man must be at least 18, and college graduates can be allowed up to age 24. To take the civil service exam you must be 18 to 35 and hold at least a junior-college degree (大专). Two paths, the self-study exam (自考) and starting a self-employed business (个体户), look at neither education nor age.
